Mayrhofen Ultraks Courses in Detail
You want to prove yourself for the first time at a running event? Then the Sprint is just right for you! As a new part of our course profile, the 7 KM round runs through the centre of Mayrhofen towards Brandberg. A short uphill followed by a varied downhill awaits you there. In the centre of Mayrhofen there are already a lot of spectators waiting for you towards the end of the race and they will push your motivation until the finish line at the Europahaus. By the way, this course is also the perfect start for all young people who want to try their hand at trail running.
The perfect introduction to trail running. Mayrhofen offers first-class trails directly from the village centre. Our course “Short” takes advantage of this and runs through the centre of the village along the main road towards Stilluppklamm and then along the moderately rising Stillupperweg up to the Wiesenhof. This is followed by a downhill to the food station which is the halfway point. We continue with a short crisp climb followed by a very runnable technical up, as well as downhill back to the village.
The “Middle” goes up to the Penkenjoch, then over the Finkenberger Penken with the Granatalm down to the Katzenmoos, before it goes back to Mayrhofen via Mariensteig. In Mayrhofen you will experience a great finish, which will lead you through the village for 1.5km, cheered on by spectators.
The “Long” is an absolute “Trail-taste”! Over the Penken plateaus, the route leads to the most beautiful viewing mountain of the Zillertal, the Rastkogel. From there we continue to the Rastkogel hut, to the Kreuzjoch and from there to Melchboden. Over the Hochschwendberg with the Gasthof Roswitha, the route leads to the Gasthaus Gschößwand, then down to Mayrhofen.
For all kids and trail runners of the future, Ultraks is offering a kids run for the first time this year. Here, the young runners do not only focus on the classic trails around Mayrhofen, but can expect cool obstacles around the Europahaus, too. The age group determines the number of rounds. All mini trail runners will receive a great finisher shirt and a medal.
